A wolf named [[Caligula Aurelius Nero]] had arrived with conquest on the mind and set to doing just that. After a series of events, he was banished from [[Nova Mountain]] and set up his own army on the abandoned peaks of [[Mount Shadow]] which he dubbed [[Everto Peak]]. None of that really concerned Jazz until he learned that Heart had joined Caligula's army. Flustered, he sought out more information and even met Caligula himself. Jazz was neither drafted into his resistance nor fought with, but instead the self proclaimed Caesar fed the hungry Jazz and sent him on his way leaving him with mixed views on the tyrant. However, when he learned that Heart had essentially gone to war without even informing Jazz of her decision, he felt he had to pick a side to stand with. He still felt like he didn't have sufficient information nor solid reason to follow Caligula, but doubted his ability to stand up against a war-trained army. He wanted to stand with his pack as his loyalties had been steadily growing in recent months, but he still had his doubts. For a short while, he continued to gather facts and in doing so learned that his favorite colorful half sister, [[Punk Saturnin\|Punk]], was back in the valley. With big decisions looming over him, he opted to stand truly proudly with Winterheart Forest for the first time and let his faith in the pack manifest. They were Winterheart's first puppies to be born and Jazz knew that his were to be next, but at that time, they were up to their necks in a terrible famine. Food was extremely difficult to come by and caches were running thin. Khalon, shortly after the birth of his offspring, was discovered along the borders near death and was soon succumbed to such with Jazz and Nightingale at his side leaving Alanna to care for the young alone. Due to food being scarce, they fed on the remains of Khalon and even gave some to Alanna so that her mate could nourish her and her young pups even after death. But this was not the last death to be dealt to Winterheart. Winterheart, thanks to Jazz's quick arrival, had laid claim to the meat but the Hollow felt entitled to some as well because they had not previously had a whole bear to themselves but Winterheart was unrelenting. A fight between the packs broke out and many blows were exchanged due to the sheer number of wolves involved but the Hollow was soon overpowered, leaving the victory and the spoils to Jazz's pack, once again giving them a meal to fill their hungering bellies. It was a pivotal achievement for the pack and Jazz's family as well because Jesuite was hovering closer than ever to her due date and in dire need of all the nourishment she could get. August is smart, emotionally shut up, and likes big words. He is large,thin (giving him a slightly feminine look), and had white fur. August was born in Horseshoe Neck, but has spent much of his time in the Salvages. He currently lives on Eaglesong Peak with his mate, [[Bells]], although he has lived in Silver Creek and Strawberry Fields in the past.

== Personality & Relatives ==
August is smart, and perceptive. He enjoys being right even though he doesn't realize it, and he uses big words. He can be sarcastic, but behaves ridiculously only around his wife. He's not very emotional and tends to keep a cool head except for around a few wolves ([[Soul]] and [[Skoll]]), and if often inwardly amused by them. Despite this he is very loyal to his family, and is probably closest to his brouther [[Simon]] or his sister [[Elsbeth]]. His other relatives include [[Birkaneu]], [[Celle]], [[Idelle]], [[Siv]], [[Tanit]], [[Zion]], and [[Vivienne.]]
